Bloody Mary and her phenomenal tour was easily one of our favorite parts of visiting New Orleans! Not only is she charming, friendly, and charismatic, being a native to this magical city, she has so much knowledge of the history. On our tour, we went through a cemetery at dusk, communed with spirits, and experienced a ghost hunt. Words cannot express who special and wonderful it all was. Being in the presence of Bloody Mary, you can instantly tell she has an energy about her like you’ve never felt before. She has great respect for her crafts and the spirits of New Orleans. And we do as well. We are definitely booking another tour with Bloody Mary when we come back to the city! For anyone who has interest in ghosts, spirits, and the history of New Orleans, do yourself a favor and book a tour. Thank you, Bloody Mary! You made our trip all that much more fabulous!

I went on a tour with Bloody Mary and some girlfriends on 3/3/15. I had requested a cemetery tour as part of my bachelorette weekend. Bloody Mary is very knowledgeable and even if she is making up some of her facts (and I don’t think she did) you would never know. The tour we participated on was part van tour, part of it was at her house and part of it was walking. In other words you get a variety when you book a tour with Bloody Mary. The most interesting part of it for me was the actually cemetery tour. I loved the fact she shows you a less formalized graveyard to compare to the type of graveyard your use to hearing about when you talk about New Orleans cemeteries. I also enjoyed her explanation of what Voodoo actually is. Although, I am not a huge fan of the occult I like learning about it. (I feel like the more knowledge you have the less scary it is.) Bloody Mary is more than happy to give you the history along with her personal knowledge about Voodoo. Now that being said, what I didn’t love about the tour was the focus on Voodoo. I was also a little creeped out that the “blessing ceremony” we had booked took place in her home. As a general rule I don’t go into strangers homes ;). I felt okay about it in the end because I was with a large group of people. (She has a snake in a cage in her home. I was also a little put off that she didn’t ask anyone in tour if they had a problem with that. I am personally very scared of snakes and had to step into the very back of the room when we arrived. I may have chosen not to go in if I had known about the snake.) I agree with the other Yelpers. If your booking a tour in the area she’s a good bet (but a word of friendly advice, you don’t actually know where you’re going to go or what you may see. So if you’re more of a person who wants to be in control of your own agenda this type of tour is probably not for you.)
